Aronia melanocarpa 'Autumn Magic'
Common Name: Chokeberry - Autumn Magic Black Chokeberry
A compact multi stemmed shrub. Produces glossy dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers in spring followed by dark black editable berries in late summer. Leaves turn a dark red in the fall. The berries are commonly used to make juice. A University of British Columbia introduction.
Plant Care: best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed.
