Camellia japonica 'Jordan's Pride'
Common Name: Camellia - Jordan's Pride Camellia
Evergreen shrub with glossy dark green foliage. Produces semi-double fragrant blooms of light pink petals edged in white and streaked with deep pink. Plant in sun to partial shade in fertile well drained soil.
Plant Care: A balanced liquid fertilizer should also be applied in mid-spring and again in June. Adding a top dressing of shredded bark or well-rotted leaf mold will also help to encourage new growth. Pruning should be light and should take place after flowering. Simply remove any dead or damaged branches - no hard pruning or cutting back is required. Container grown specimens should be protected in winter using bubble wrap or another appropriate material.
