Akebia quinata
Common Name: Chocolate Vine
Deciduous. A fast growing twining woody vine, with lush green rounded leaves The leaves are divided into five leaflets. Produces clusters of small trailing chocolate purple colored spicy vanilla fragrant flowers. The small three petaled flowers bloom from March to April.
Plant Care: Prune as needed in late spring after flowers appear. For best fruit production, plant more than one vine to facilitate good cross-pollination.
